Racquetworld has never been more excited for a Head racquetball racquet line to come out. For the first time ever we have our own exclusive new high end racquet. The theme is called the Olympus Series and the racquets are the Zeus (165 grams), Ares, (175 grams), and our very own exclusive Hades (170 grams) racquetball racquet. This series is the best Head lineup we've ever hit and we are proud to have our own 170 gram Hades racquet in the mix. We've always felt that 170 grams is the ideal weight for racquetball for most customers. Whatever weight/model you choose rest assured we did a lot of extensive testing with Head and these racquets hit as hard as anything out there with enough control to make any player a winner.

Head Engineers packed these frames with the latest technologies including a new space age material called Innegra, the lightest high performance fiber material in the world. Innegra brings unparalleled power, stability and vibration control to the courts.

These are available in the smaller 3 5/8 or large 3 7/8 grip sizes.

If you're unsure about your model or weight...try our DEMO Program.

A racquet cover IS NOT provided by the manufacturer with this racquet. You have the option to add a cover for $8-$12 if you would like.

    RacquetWorld General Notes

RacquetWorld recommends changing the grip to a Python (Our favorite), which will be $12.00 installed, for the added traction to prevent slippage.  The Racquetworld Grommet Tape upgrade ($2) can save you $$ in the long run as sometimes strings break from the grommet being worn down. For those who don't know what the grommet is, it's the plastic piece at the top of the racquet that the strings go through. When you hit the wall and floor this gets worn down.

The Python Atlas Deluxe string upgrade is recommended because factory string is less playable/durable than the Python Atlas Deluxe string we suggest. At the time of purchase, the Python Atlas Deluxe restring upgrade is $29.95.  It's normally $45 if you mailed the racquet to us later so you save $15 if you choose the upgrade right away. This string comes in Black or Natural and it’s a very soft string with incredible playability/durability. We recommend the 17g as it’s right in the middle of 16g (most durable) and 18g (most playable but less durable).

If you choose a vibration dampener go with the Python Vibration Dampner (Our favorite), Head Megasorb, Gamma Worm or the BBB (Big Bad Band).

The wristlacer black is the default wrist tether that comes on your racquet at no charge. If you want to change colors, a small fee of $3.95 will be added for switching.

A question we get everyday is "What is Grommet Tape?"It's a piece of tape that goes over the head (bumper) of your racquet. Sometimes you need a restring because of a broken bumper. For an extra 2 bucks to add this, it could save you $25-40!!

We get follow up calls/emails everyday thanking us for the upgrades as they really help bring out the performance of the racquet.

Racquet Covers - Choose one for $8-$12 (RacquetWorld Cover is Only $8.00)

A full racquet cover is NOT provided by the manufacturer with this racquet. You have the option of adding a full cover for $8-12 if you would like. If you want the best cover on the market buy the Racquetworld Cover. It is oversized, has a full outside pocket, a handle strap and a large shoulder strap as well as a ventilated pocket to let your grip breathe and best of all its $2-$4 less than the others because we want to help you by supporting our company! The charge will only be $8.00 when added to the cart for this choice instead of $10.00-$12.00 like the other covers.

Feels very light but not a full right fit for me. Taking longer than expected to get used to.

I've been out of the game for 5+ years, and ended up breaking my 190 gram racquet my second game getting back in. I was skeptical about dropping to a much lower weight, but I was not disappointed with this racquet. I feel like the sweet spot is bigger, and I have better control with my shots. Loving every second of this racquet.

I have been using this racquet for about 1 month now. This racquet is a step up from an intermediate level racquet. I can tell a game improvement with more powerful hits and sharper aiming.

I broke my four-year-old Head 170 racquet, purchased from RacquetWorld, one week before departing for Ft. Lauderdale and the 2022 National Senior Games. Sadly, my first replacement choice wasn't available until July 2022 so I purchased this racquet. I wasn't disappointed. Although slighly heavier than my previous model, this racquet helped me win fourth place in singles and fourth place in doubles in my National Age Group (65-69) at the Senior Games. Great control but with power and speed. RacquetWorld was quick to respond to my email request about shipping in time for my departure date. Great teamwork as always with RacquetWorld.

I am 67yrs old and an A player. This racquet has good balance and the perfect weight for me. I get power, control and it is light enough for a fast reflex response.

This is such a great price for this racquet! My husband researched a new racquet for weeks and settled on this. He loves it. He is 51, not a novice, but starting again after a hiatus from playing. He says it is the perfect feel and very lightweight. I love Racquetworld. Everything ships so fast!

I have played with the Ares Head racquet for almost a month and really like it. I opted for most of the upgrades, although in retrospect I wish I would have skipped restringing until needed. I've noticed that it has more power and a larger sweet spot than my prior racquet that weighed 170g. I have to focus more now to keep from serving long. It's a good racquet for this C+ sometimes B over 60 player.

I've been playing with HEAD rackets for decades, with my most recent one being a HEAD Full House, 180 g. I dropped down to 175 and bought the HEAD Ares from Racquetworld, com at a great price of $109.95 and free shipping. Stock stringing is just fine and I think this is the best of the HEAD racquets that I have owned. Great control, great power, great balance. A real bargain.

Head Ares 175 - Great Bang for the buck.
    03/30/2019
I've played with this racquet for 4 years and on my second racquet broke the first one after numerous games. I have an XL glove size so hard to find older racquets with the 3 7/8th grip which works out great for grip and love the tear drop shape for power. I'm also an older player so like the 175 gram weight for extra power. I bought the racquet at racquetworld which is the only place that stocks it and ordered the python grip for an upgrade which is working out great for a better grip. I also use tape on the racquet head to protect the racquet so another good option. After this racquet bites the dust I'll step up to a Head racquet with graphene for extra durability and probably get a 180 weight.

Over 50 and I love it!

I've always been told that men over 50 need to use heavier racquets, but I decided to try this 175 and I'm loving it. Its heavy enough that I'm not having any problems with my follow through, and light enough that I'm flick-of-the-wrist returning down the lines and cross court passes I used to miss. I had mine strung with 18g deluxe strings, and liked it so well I bought a duplicate, so its now my primary racquet.

    Exclusive RacquetWorld Racquet Ratings

Ratings and comparisons for all racquets can be found in RacquetWolrd Exclusive Racquet Ratings

    Racquetworld's Durability Rating:  95.00

    Racquetworld's Power Rating: Age 24-  97.01  Age 35  97.51  Age 45+  96.02

    Racquetworld's Control Rating #1 (Front Court):  98.34

Control 1 (Front Court) represents how the racquet handles upfront in the court. We are basically looking at how certain components stacked together to produce good (or bad) racquet maneuverability. To figure this out we look at the weight, balance point, and shape of the frame. We throw all this info into Pat's brain along with a couple hours of hit testing and out pops the rating. This value is useful especially for doubles players who find themselves covering the upfront court a lot. It is also good to know if you are a good server and find yourself quickly putting away returns off your serve without leaving front middle court.

    Racquetworld's Control Rating #2 (Back Court):  98.51

Control 2 (Back Court) represents the traditional control rating when taking a full shot from mid to back court. Our goal with control is to redirect the Force of the ball. We again focus on weight, balance point, shape, string pattern and tension, frame stiffness and on court experience.

    Racquetworld's Overall Rating: Age 24-   97.51   Age 35  97.76   Age 45+  97.01

    Inner Grommet System 2

    IGS2

The next generation of Head's revolutionary Inner Grommet System Technology, IGS2, eliminates exterior grommet holes delivering optimal stiffness, but with less weight. Each tube is now lined with Teflon friction reducing polymer allowing the strings to slide through the IGS tubes with nearly no friction. This results in maximum energy transfer which increases power on every shot.

    Power Channels

    Power Channels

Head takes Power Channels to the next level! This power technology is created through molded tubes in the throat, eliminating exterior string holes and the traditional grommet system. This lengthens each main string and creates maximum stiffness which results in an incredible increase in raw power. The Power Channels are now equiped with Teflon friction reducing polymer allowing the strings to slide through the Power Channels with nearly no friction resulting in maximum energy transfer which increases power on every shot

    Corrurated Technology 2

CT2 - (an upgrade from CT technology) which incorporates corrugated rails on all sides of the racquet throat resulting in explosive power on every shot.

    Power Stabilizers

    Power Stabilizers

Head panteted twin-tube technology has been strategically positioned in the head of the racquet to provide maximum stability on every shot.

    DuraZone String Pattern

    DuraZone String Pattern

Head engineers have eliminated 33% of the grommet holes in the head of the racquet by developing innovative shared ports. This results in increased durability and maximum stiffness. In addition, Head has lowered the Power Channels deeper into the throat of the racquet increasing the length of each main string for more power.
