I have been buying these headbands for years. Tried them via an in-store purchase long ago and they have become my favorite. They do seem to lose there elasticity sooner than some other brands after going in the dryer; it's like they become permanently over stretched. Still, I prefer the comfort of these and they do soak up a lot of sweat when used. I have hyper-hydrosis sometimes and can sweat a lot when playing racquetball or tennis. Handy too for hot days in summer, painting or chores outside, etc.
