Description of the Racquet
Each year customers ask us if this is the year to upgrade to the latest high end racquet. Some years we say yes, some years we say no. We’re being honest when we say this is the year to upgrade to the latest Head racquet. These racquets are some of the best playing racquets we’ve ever hit with and you won’t be sorry. For all you fans of the Liquid Metal IGS series, this is the racquet for you as it will have the shape, feel and extra POWER you’ve been waiting for.
For 2010-2011 the series consists of 3 models with a Las Vegas theme in mind. They are the Blackjack 160g, Royal Flush 170g, and Full House 180g. The Blackjack and Royal Flush are a tad head heavy and designed for the younger player or the player with a fast swing speed and the Full House is Even Balanced and designed for the player that needs a little more mass in their swing.
What if you could have a racquet that would adjust to every shot you hit?
- It could make your passes more powerful
- It could make your pinches, splats & kills more precise
- Even add control, accuracy & feel to all shots
These racquets do it all!!!
If you're unsure about your model or weight...try our DEMO Program.
These are available in 3 5/8 grip size only.
A racquet cover IS NOT provided by the manufacturer with this racquet. You have the option to add a cover for $10 if you would like.
RacquetWorld's General Notes
I would recommend changing the grip to a Python (Our favorite), or Head TackiMac for the added traction to prevent slippage. The Racquetworld Grommet Tape upgrade ($1) can save you $$ in the long run as sometimes strings break from the grommet being worn down. For those who don't know what the grommet is, it's the plastic piece at the top of the racquet that the strings go through. When you hit the wall and floor this gets worn down.
The Prince Premier string upgrade is recommended because factory string is less playable/durable then the Prince Premier string we suggest. At the time of purchase, the Prince Premier restring upgrade is $21.95. It's normally $36 if you mailed the racquet to us later so you save $14 if you choose the upgrade right away.
If you choose a vibration dampener go with the Ektelon Silencer (Our favorite), Head Megasorb, Gamma Worm or the BBB (Big Bad Band).
The wristlacer black is the default wrist tether that comes on your racquet at no charge. If you want to change colors, a small fee of $2.95 will be added for switching.
A question we get everyday is "What is Grommet Tape?" It's a piece of tape that goes over the head (bumper) of your racquet. Sometimes you need a restring because of a broken bumper. For an extra buck to add this, it could save you $25-40!!
We get follow up calls/emails everyday thanking us for the upgrades as they really help bring out the performance of the racquet.

YouTek

Technologies get individual. Combines different superior technologies to perfectly match your individual playing style. It does not matter if your game is aggressive & risky or conservative & safe, this enhances any performance and brings out the best in you.
The following Technologies are all part of the 2010 - 2011 YouTek Technologies
d3o (dee-three-oh) - It Starts with the Material

d3o is a smart material made from specially designed smart molecules. It is soft at low speeds and soft impacts but stiffens on hard impacts.
It senses the needs of the player and actually adapts to the shot. On powerful, aggressive shots, the smart molecules lock together within nano seconds to dramatically increase the stiffness of the racquet to provide maximum power. On slow speed impacts d3o in its relaxed state, absorbs the impact to provide a softer touch and better feel.
- d3o is a member of the "smart material" category, a new futuristic material with abnormal behavior characteristics
- Specifically, d3o changes its behavior under dynamic loading / impact
- Special behavior: It is a single material exhibiting two different mechanical states (stiff or soft) under different impact rates or forces
- d3o is integrated into the graphite lay-up of the racquet frame
- It is positioned in the throat of the racquet where it flexes the most in order to maximize power and performance
Teflon Polymer
Dupont friction reducing polymer is a material with extremely low coefficient of friction. It is mixed with polyamide (materials used in IGS2 and PowerChannels) to create a new material the consists of PA and Teflon polymer. This creates a self lubricating effect in the base material which enables the strings to slide through the grommets with nearly no friction. By having an extreme, low friction contact surface, the string does not lose energy during ball impact and can move freely around the grommets to offer more power.
Inner Grommet System 2

The next generation of Head's revolutionary Inner Grommet System Technology, IGS2, eliminates exterior grommet holes delivering optimal stiffness, but with less weight. Each tube is now lined with Teflon friction reducing polymer allowing the strings to slide through the IGS tubes with nearly no friction. This results in maximum energy transfer which increases power on every shot.
Power Channels

Head takes Power Channels to the next level! This power technology is created through molded tubes in the throat, eliminating exterior string holes and the traditional grommet system. This lengthens each main string and creates maximum stiffness which results in an incredible increase in raw power. The Power Channels are now equiped with Teflon friction reducing polymer allowing the strings to slide through the Power Channels with nearly no friction resulting in maximum energy transfer which increases power on every shot
Corrurated Technology

Corrugated rails are incorporated into the throat area of the racquet which increases the stifness up to 12% vs. conventional racquet design.
Power Stabilizers

Head panteted twin-tube technology has been strategically positioned in the head of the racquet to provide maximum stability on every shot.
Aramid Bumper

This new bumper technology provides the ultimate in racquet durability. It has ultra strong aramid fibers integrated into the bumper material. The molecules of those fibers strengthen the chemical bond increasing the durability of the racquet head by up to 17%!
DuraZone String Pattern

Head engineers have eliminated 33% of the grommet holes in the head of the racquet by developing innovative shared ports. This results in increased durability and maximum stiffness. In addition, Head has lowered the Power Channels deeper into the throat of the racquet increasing the length of each main string for more power.
Exclusive RacquetWorld Racquet Ratings
Ratings and comparisons for all racquets can be found in Racquetworld's Technology/Ratings Section
Racquetworld's Durability Rating: 95.00
Racquetworld's Power Rating: Age 24- 93.58 Age 35 95.05 Age 45+ 93.08
Racquetworld's Control Rating #1 (Front Court): 97.02
Control 1 (Front Court) represents how the racquet handles upfront in the court. We’re basically looking at how certain components stacked together produce good (or bad) racquet maneuverability. To figure this out we look at the weight, balance point, and shape of the frame. We throw all this info into Pat’s brain along with a couple hours of hit testing and out pops the rating. This value is useful especially for doubles players who find themselves covering the upfront court a lot. It’s also good to know if you’re a good server and find yourself quickly putting away returns off your serve without leaving front middle court.
Racquetworld's Control Rating #2 (Back Court): 96.53
Control 2 (Back Court) represents the traditional control rating when taking a full shot from mid to back court. Our goal with control is to redirect the Force of the ball. We again focus on weight, balance point, shape, string pattern and tension, frame stiffness and on court experience.
Racquetworld's Overall Rating: Age 24- 95.00 Age 35 95.74 Age 45+ 94.75
